Nature Pacific is a joint Australian-Fiji company specialising in the development of ‘organically grown’ coconut products and traditional remedies that have been part of daily life through out the Pacific for centuries. Ken Sigrah and Stacey King are the couple behind Nature Pacific who understand very well the problems facing indigenous communities as they struggle for daily survival and the upholding of their ethnic identity in a rapidly changing world. Ken is an indigenous Banaban Pacific Islander whose people are referred to as the ‘Forgotten People of the Pacific’. His partner, Stacey is an Australian, with six generations of her family’s involvement with the Banabans and fifteen years experience in aid and cultural projects in the Pacific region. They both share a professional background in the Australian Natural Health industry over the past nine years and have developed a BANABAN range of Fiji grown Virgin Coconut Oil products to promote what the Banabans have known for centuries.
Banaban ORGANIC* Coconut Crunch is totally natural and comes from the air-dried coconut flesh after the extra virgin coconut oil has been removed. The dried coconut flesh retains a rich nutty coconut taste and crunchy texture. This product retains its natural colour and no bleaching or additives are used. Banaban ORGANIC* Coconut Crunch is an excellent source of dietary fibre and source of iron making it ideal as a healthy breakfast cereal and baking ingredient.
Coconut is highly nutritious and rich in fibre, vitamins and minerals. It is classified as a functional food. The sodium found in Banaban ORGANIC* Coconut Crunch occurs naturally from the volcanic rich soil of Fiji. The soil is enriched by minerals from seawater. Seawater is essential for the healthy growth of coconut palms and contains a complete mixture of all trace minerals needed by the human body.
The saturated fat in coconut is unlike the fat found in meat or other vegetable fats. It is identical to a special group of fats found in human breast milk that have been shown to improve digestion, strengthen the immune system, and protect against bacterial, viral, and fungal infections. These fats, derived from coconut oil, are now routinely used in hospital IV formulations and commercial baby formulas. They're also used in sports drinks to boost energy and enhance athletic performance.
